Levitators using permanent magnets or electro magnets can be analyzed by MAGNETO, OERSTED, AMPERES, and FARADAY (3D). Lorentz forces and body forces on permeable material objects can be calculated. B-fields and H-fields anywhere in the model can be calculated. Non-linear permeable materials are allowed in the model.
For analysis of 2D and RS (Rotationally symmetric) geometries MAGNETO and OERSTED can be used, whereas for 3D geometries AMPERES and FARADAY (3D simulation) are used.
OERSTED and FARADAY can also handle AC currents
