Challenges and Advances in Simulation
Abstract

This paper shows the latest development and directions in Power Electronic simulations. As typical power electronics system analyses consist of many aspects and it is multidisciplinary an open interface and integrated approach is often applied. Requirements on the interface for an integrated simulator are given and communication between various tools and its structure is described in the paper and illustrated by many examples.

Requirements on the Interface for an Integrated Simulator
Abstract

This paper wants to show the latest development and directions in Power Electronic simulations. Two points are addressed: Open interface for data exchange for integrated simulation and Easy visualisation of Simulation results. As typical power electronics system analyses consist of many aspects and it is multidisciplinary an open interface and integrated approach is applied. Communication between various tools and its structure is described in the paper and illustrated by many examples.

Simulation Software with Open System Interface
Abstract

S circuit simulation itself is not satisfactory any more without paper system analysis and disign. A power electronic converter is always part f a complex system. Understanding the strength of different CAD tools and integrating them in the design process allows the investigation of more design aspects than circuit simulation only.

Simulating power electronics, electrical machines, control and thermal cycling in Ansys and Caspoc
Abstract

Simulation of electrical drives and power electronics is changing rapidly. Not only single components need to be simulated, but also entire systems including detailed models of components are the subject of simulation. A coupled simulation between a system simulator and a FEM simulation is favored for the modeling and simulation of entire electrical drives systems including the electrical machine, mechanical load, power electronics converter and control. When it comes to the simulation of entire drive systems, the thermal cycling is becoming more and more a designers issue. The lifetime of semiconductor components is strongly depending on thermal cycling and therefore a detailed analysis is required. In this paper a method is proposed based on FEM calculations in Ansys, reduced order model approximation and finally the overall circuit/system simulation, to determine the thermal cycling.

Simulation and Animation of Power Electronics and Electrical Drives.
Abstract

Animation during the simulation opens up a new area for the power electronics design engineer. During the animation, he can see the level of the node-voltages, the level of the branch currents and most important, he can see the current path in the circuit. Based on the modeling and simulation package Caspoc, nearly any type of power converter or electrical drive can be animated.

Symulator ukladów analogowych duezj mocy
